Help with Encadre
Short answers first. The recovery guide walks through a restore step by step.
We will never ask for them, and we can’t recover a password.
Common problems
Restore says images are missing or there aren’t enough
Select every image you have, including copies from other places, then look again. An archive can be rebuilt from fewer images only up to its protection level. If more are missing than that, the data can’t be rebuilt.
The password isn’t accepted
Check for typing, keyboard language and capital letters. Encadre can’t reset or recover an archive password. If you saved it in a password manager, or on a phone where Encadre remembers it, use that copy.
I can’t pick a folder
Android doesn’t let apps use some locations, such as the top level of internal storage. Choose a folder inside the location, or create a new one.
Where are my recovery images?
In the folder you chose when you created the archive, or in the Encadre gallery album if you chose that. In the app, “Find existing archives” searches a place you choose.
My Library is empty after a reinstall
That’s expected. The Library is a convenience and is rebuilt by finding your images again. Use “Find existing archives”, or go straight to Restore.
Does “Checked” mean my files are backed up?
No. Checked means Encadre reopened the recovery images and rebuilt your data from them. A copy only exists where you put one.
