Files in. Recovery images out.
Encadre turns your files into encrypted recovery images that can rebuild the exact originals. Keep the images wherever you like. With your archive password, they are all you need to get the files back.
- FilesAny files, or a folder, that you choose.
- Encrypted archiveEncrypted and packaged by Encadre.
- Recovery imagesPNG files with redundancy built in.
- Store anywhereYour choice of place. Encadre doesn’t upload them.
- Images + passwordGive both to Encadre, even on a new phone.
- Original filesRebuilt and checked against the archive.
The dashed step is yours. Encadre makes the images and checks them. Where they live is up to you.
How it works
Four steps, no account
Create
Choose files or a folder. Encadre encrypts and packages them with a password you set.
Keep
Encadre writes the recovery images. Put them somewhere safe, and in more than one place if the files matter.
Restore
Give Encadre the images and the archive password. A fresh install is enough.
Recover
Encadre rebuilds the files and checks them against the archive.
It makes recovery images and checks that they can be opened again. A copy only exists where you put one.
The recovery contract
Recovery images + archive password = original data
That is the whole promise. Nothing else is needed to restore.
- The Library is a shortcut
- It is a list the app keeps for convenience. Encadre can rebuild it from your images.
- Reinstalling is fine
- Recovery doesn’t depend on the app’s old state or the old phone.
- File names don’t matter
- Rename or move the images as you like. Encadre recognises them by what they contain.
Without it nobody can open the archive, including us.
- Encadre has no account system, no advertising and no Firebase Analytics.
- Creating and restoring work offline, with no AC001 Labs server involved.
- Crash reports are off unless you choose to share them. Encadre doesn’t put file names, paths or passwords in them.
- A password you choose to save is kept in Android’s secure storage.
